Filters won't work (?) & filter manager error

Hi.

Maybe I don't understand what are filters / private privileges for, but in Calendar, when I set some event access to "Private", another person with basic (user / employee) privilege can see it by simple choosing "All records" from filters pop up window.

Moreover, he can also edit and delete that "private" record.

Please help me, what I'm doing / understand wrong.

Hi,
Filters works this way:
- public - everybody can view/edit/delete
- public,read-only - everybody can view, only user that created record can edit/delete
- private - only user that created record can view/edit/delete it.
- administrator always can view/edit/delete

In companies&contacts it seems to work ok.

Calendar in RC2 have bug. It will be fixed soon. Thanks for bug report.

OK, but I meant "User filter" - this one located on the right side of top bar.
Sorry for mixing user filters and privilege filters on the same topics.
This is because, privilege filter can be ignored by user filter in Calendar.

Privilege filter - OK, works fine, but user filter probably not.
I expect see only my records when I click "Filters" -> "My Records" and Companies / Customers of some other user, when I choose this person in "Filters" -> "Records of".
Regardless of what I set in user filter menu, I always see all records for that I can have right access privileges (all mine and rest non private) - this happens in Contact:Browse and Companies:Browse.

Hey there,

That filter in top right corner, which we used to call "CRM filter", is only used for tasks, phonecalls and events - those records are filtered using "Employees" field to decide whether record belongs to user or not.
Public companies and contacts are global - every user can see them at any given time. Private/protected companies and contacts can generally be seen/edited by those who created the record (respectively).

I hope this clears the picture a little bit. I'll gladly help further if you need some explanation.

Cannot configure right Tortoise CVN (recommended by sourceforge SVN / CVS software)
:pserver:anonymous@epesi.cvs.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/epesi
brings me back some informations about CVS itself,
:pserver:anonymous@epesi.cvs.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/epesi/trunk ask me for password.

I'm very inexperienced with CVN, so please be patient and correct me, what I'm doing wrong.

As for CVS: we never intended to use it in any way. Epesi is available on SVN, more details are to be found here.

But to cut long story short: you should rather install Tortoise SVN and then make checkout using

https://epesi.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/epesi/trunk

as repository location.

Sorry, I just follow sourceforge instruction, "how to track changes" without distinguish between CVS and SVN, and CVS was first... :roll:
