Fatal:Allowed memory size

I'm trying to install Epesi BIM version: epesi-1.0.0.rc5.tar.bz2
System Ubuntu 8.10 Gnome Desktop version.

I can connect to the system with http://localhost/epesi/
I created a new user, new database (full installation), choose date and time format, and finally name and address and company information.

But then I get:

Fatal: Allowed memory size of 16777216 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 40961 bytes) in /var/www/epesi/include/module.php on line 686 🙁

After this error I can't continue.

Hello,
Please edit php.ini and change the following line:
memory_limit =
from default 16 MB to something higher - 32MB or more if possible.

Or allow .htaccess to change allowed memory size and use default epesi htaccess file.
