Thanks, now it works like a charm.

Just a note regarding the translation. I couldn't find the 'Customer ID' or 'Customer Number' entry in either my language pack (he.php) or the default en.php (in: data/Base_Lang/en.php or he.php files)

Out of my experience now with epesibim I guessed that it would probably be $translations['Utils_RecordBrowser']['Customer Number'] so I added that to my he.php and it works but in continuation to what you said before - this is something to be fixed in the future?

To take a pause and comment on the process so far - the forum is greatly active with awesome help from Arek and other developers which I simply had little contact with so far that really had me going. The platform itself is really amazing in it's simplicity and straight-forward both for GUI and developers. I've done so much progress and gained so much development experience in just a couple of days that I know this platform than with my previous attempt for a CRM platform (sugar) for almost 3 months which I got nowhere (and that CRM software is a supposedly award winner... heh)

To sum it up, lots of thanks for the superb support.

As for translation - as I understand - epesi didn't add an empty translation automatically (should add it to active language file - he.php), but yet the one you entered, knowing how it should like works, right?
Seems to me as a really strange bug - never occurred to us.

Could you please remove that line and see if it shows up again in the he.php when you display the page? Please try to reproduce the bug - I'm really surprised with this kind of behavior and would really appreciate double-check. If it still occurs, I'll get to Lang module guts and see if there's a window for error like that.

Regarding the language - I thought at first it was a permission issue but it isn't.
I viewed the contacts page as well as created a new item while the Customer ID and Customer Number were not present and it didn't create them. Possibly this is due to the fact that they were introduced via another module's new_field (these are the customized contacts field) because for my other modules it did create the language text.

By the way, concerning the contacts.tpl you sent me which fixes the problem. How would that affect the next upgrade I take?

The next upgrade will contain that updated tpl as well.

Could you empty one of language files (or make a backup and empty he.php), then switch to epesi, select that language and refresh the whole epesi. After that please tell me what's the content of that language file.

That works, while he.php now isn't populated with thousands of language variables, I see that it builds up "in time" whenever I browse new pages/modules.

Possibly that is due to the fact that I clicked the Refresh Languages button in the Language and Translation module category?

I'm sorry, but I'm afraid I have to ask about it: are you perfectly sure that label you displayed and you saw on the page was not present in the language file (order in that file is somewhat random, did you search for it?)?

If so, please help me by giving some tips on how to reproduce that error, I must admit I'm clueless.

I just took a 2nd look, I'm sorry to have mislead you.
It was a permission issue indeed. It wasn't the user/pass but rather the mode of the file, weren't writable by the web server which I missed.
