Invoice/Billing module?

Is there an invoicing/billing module on the works or maybe in latest svn?

It's more than an invoice module.
Invoices are for goods, meaning we need to also create a products/services module, etc...

I think it's nicer to have a invoice module that doesn't depends on products that are in the system.

I have seen so many of these and the problem is that the invoices are linked to the products, so you never can remove products you don't want to use anymore in your system.

In other words, I would like to have an invoice module where every record has the full record and not a link to a product in the product DB.

This way also enables manual input in your invoices which is nicer.

We have a full warehouse management system with products, invoices - actually they are "transactions" which cover purchases, sales, quotes, inventory adjustment, warehouse transfers (it supports multiple warehouses/locations)... It is also integrated with e-commerce. You can see the e-commerce site here:

You can print invoices here (generated as PDF). We will setup a demo of these Premium modules soon. The entire management of the product inventory, order processing etc. is done via epesi.

As far as products quotes are concerned - you can setup a "dummy" product/item. Our system is designed that it links the item to the transaction, but when used you can overwrite the description, price etc. Therefore you can have for example item X and when quoting it you can put your own description. Most accounting systems work this way.

Is it an idea to make a simple free version so people can develop further on it and give it also back to the community ?

I think all people can take an advantage of this OSS development.
