Hi,
Please tell me:
- what OS do you use
- version of HTTP server (apache, IIS...)
- if IIS do you use fastcgi or ISAPI for PHP
- PHP version
- MySQL version
- processor speed
- RAM size
- available memory (icluding free)
- processes
- epesi version
all of this will affect the performance.
In general epesi page should load in less than a second. Our demo runs on Windows 2003 with IIS in fastcgi. This is not the fastest setup but we use this configuration for our own use as well.
I found that Windows with WAMP works much faster, and the best performance is of course on Linux - if you setup a trial on our page it is very fast on even very modest hardware. I suggest Debian distro.
For troubleshooting you can set in config.php located in data directory the following:
/*
* Show module loading time ... = module + all children times
*/
define("MODULE_TIMES",0);
/*
* Show queries execution time.
*/
define("SQL_TIMES",0);
/*
Set them to 1. At the bottom of the page you will see how long a module loads (Module time) - this is your PHP performance, and SQL times. There are some tweaks you can do to improve MySQL speed.
