Tony,
We do not supply ready "templates". Our goal is a little different. We provide the basis - the foundation - in the form of epesi framework (not very usable by itself as every module would need to be created), plus epesiBIM - which is a set of CRM like modules: Contacts, Companies, Calendar, To Do list, Phone Calls, Notes... etc. New realese will include Roundcube e-mail client, Sales Opportunities module, as well as Project and Issue tracker (bugtracker) which was already included in prior versions.
Every business entity can then customize the setup because epesi is modular. So far we were doing this customization and development of custom modules for our clients. This is not as simple as just creating the module: we analyze the way certain business processes are done, if necessary (which happens very often) we re-engineer them, optimize - and finally come with a set of modules that together automate that business/organization.
Based on those experiences - we develop epesi since 2006 and had successfully implemented it in number of businesses, plus we have over 15 years of experience with over 400 different type of small/medium size businesses - we plan to release generic versions of those modules. They will be offered as:
- Free add-ons - individual modules
- Premium (paid) individual modules
- Premium (paid) sets of modules specific to certain industry
However anyone can customize existing modules or create new ones right now. epesi framework has great utility (a module) called Record Browser which does almost everything you need to create a module without much coding. Please see the following tutorial: http://epesi.org/index.php?title=Epesi_tutorial
We hope that with time a community of developers will emerge and more modules will be available for download. They again can be free or paid version and will be available for download in our modules repository.
We are now in the process of testing License Manager module - this way any developer will be able to sell and track licenses of his/her modules. Even FREE modules will be distributed and tracked this way (similar to add-ons in Firefox).
In addition we hope to finish some day what we started already few years ago - a visual, web based wizard to create custom modules. This will be the best tool to create some simple modules without any coding.
