Absolutely everything included in epesi free download is included in full, no module included in package require any payment to work as it was designed.
This includes the Premium/Import module, which is recommended way of importing your data from other applications. It requires you to declare mapping - first row in csv should be headers, you need to provide these labels for columns you want to use, like "Firstname", etc..
Then you provide *.csv file (that you can get exported from SugarCRM), and epesi will create contacts and companies based on data provided.
Importing directly via SQL would be at the very least problematic.
As for paid modules - we have a store module and service in works. Once available, all products will be available directly through your epesi.
