No way to import activities and notes ?

Hello,
Need to say that epesi looks great anyway.
So when I go to import , it looks like only accounts and contacts can be imported.
This is important (no gag) as I can't migrate if I can't keep all accounts and contacts history.

What of it ?

Hi,

The import tool that we provide is a simple and very generic one and allows import of Companies and Contacts only.
For more complex jobs we write our own custom import modules and we successfully imported all info from programs like Act! (contacts, histories, notes, attachments etc.), or from a combination of Excel spreadhseets, MS Access databases etc. For jobs like this a custom import module needs to be written. Please specify what data are you importing - the name of the application - and maybe we can help or at least give you some idea how to do it.

Sorry for answering late, I thought I was to get an alert by Email...
If you don't mind, I'll be happy to get an idea of it.
I use SugarCRM on Linux, with mysql. It's on a provider's server.
To migrate, I need to import all data, it means :
- Companies
- Contacts
- Meetings
- Tasks
- Calls
- History (notes related to contacts or companies)

It's a bit touchy because I need to import fields that do not exists in epesi.

Another thing I need to know is another topic :
I use a shared server and any script done on the server make it the owner of the files created or modified by this script. This generates a lot of annoying permissions issues in SugarCRM, and I'm still trying to find a solution or a turn around for this.

Did you encounter this kind of problem and do you know about a working solution when using epesi ?

Just create all extra fields in Epesi first before importing. This way you can map them.

No - we don't have that problem with Epesi. Just mark folders 755 and files 644.
