Epesi will not, under any circumstances, attempt to register itself.
We are treating confidentiality of any information stored on any epesi installation very seriously and we're not receiving or gathering any of this information without consent from the user. The consent is expressed directly, there are no obligations made by simply accepting the terms and conditions of the free version of epesi.
The e-mail you received is one that is generated after an administrator of the system fills in the form with instructions containing the following:

Beside that form and the data submitted via this form, no other information is being sent to us at any time, including but not limited to: stored records, installed modules, user activity and other.
Any super-administrator can fill in that form however, so if there are other users of your system with super-administrator privilege, it's possible one of them filled that data, providing your e-mail address.
You can go to your epesi installation, Menu->Help->Register epesi! and there you can find the "Edit company details" button. Clicking this button will let you see all the data that was sent to us.
If you wish for your information (company name, administrator name, address) to be removed from our server, please send me PM containing this information and I'll make sure this data is erased.
