From the looks of things, I figure the problem boils down to server configuration. Depending on the system you're using, you should check related error logs. It's virtually impossible for EPESI to simply bring down a server on it's own, they are configured to handle stress and even major errors and simply handle them. It's even possible the issue is not related to EPESI at all.
I doubt we can do much to help in this situation, but if we can be of any assistance, please provide us with information what platform you're running EPESI on (OS, http server, sql server, RAM, etc.) and all and any related entries in events logs.
