Error when installing on hosted server

Hi,

My local installation is fine, but when I tried to install EPESI on a hosted server I'll either get an endless loop at step #4 or, after manually adding the folders to the data folder, the following error message:

Fatal: Class 'Base_ThemeCommon' not found in /mnt/sites/[sitename]/web/CRM/modules/Utils/Tooltip/TooltipCommon_0.php on line 27

Problem occurred with version 1.2.2 and 1.3

Unfortunately, as this is a hosted server, I don't have access to the error logs. When I change the .htaccess as suggested, I get an Error 500.

Any suggestions?

Can you tell me what step exactly do you have in mind that the setup loops on?

The error you're receiving is caused by unfinished installation process, I can tell the modules priority array was not built properly. How many other things the setup did not finish, that's another question.

What I'd suggest is start your installation (I suggest to use 1.3 for those tests), open the console (assuming you're using Chrome or Firefox with Firebug it's F12), switch to Network tab, show only XHR requests and once you get to the point where the installation hangs up, check the response generated. In that response you'll most likely find the reason for the loop.
