Depending on the module, there are more and less problematic ways of disabling the XHR requests:
- Shoutbox applet - simply removing the applet from dashboard will prevent the script from triggering
- Weather applet - again, simpyl remove applet
- SessionKeeper - simplest way is to uninstall the module
- Utils/Messanger - The fastest way is to comment out the eval_js_once() file at the end of the module Common file
That's all of the common XHR requests. If you have a problem with another module, please tell us and I'm sure a quick solution will be available.
