Calendar doubleclick gets stuck

Hello,

We discovered if you doubleclick the time in an event in Calendar in Month view, it opens the event, however it also opens the "New Event" window. You can click on "Resize" which works, however if you click on "Close" you are stuck you are stuck in the window. Clicking "Phonecall", "Task", or "Meeting" do not work either so you are completely stuck in the window and must refresh the browser to get out.

Tested at demo.epesibim.com and it occurs there as well. Although you should be single-clicking, one employee keeps having this problem especially when using a tablet interface.

Hello,

Unfortunately, it's possible to get this kind of error in many places in the system, to get stuck when performing more than 1 action at the time (double-click is a special case of the same scenario). It's a known issue and one that we have solved in the upcoming 1.3.1 version, which should be available in the upcoming weeks. The fix will most certainly resolve the double-click on event problem as well.

In the previous thread you posted some other Calendar concerns and I'd like to address these as well:

Could you please provide a screenshot of what's really happening? I've tested this on demo and it seems everything is working as intended.

This is one of the features we had to remove when introducing another functionality. I apologize for the inaccuracy in the manual, but we have plans to bring back days coloring in year view.

I've tested the report and I could recreate the bug. That's a huge issue, I thank you for bringing this up. We'll be sure to include a fix for it in the 1.3.1 version!

In the demo, I just added a meeting for today 9/7/12 at 1:15PM to 15:15PM. In the "Day" and "Week" views it fits nicely within the 13:00 - 14:00 and 14:00 - 15:00 blocks.

I was under the impression in the manual that the 15 minute difference would shift the block down a little in the 13:00 to 14:00 block, but it looks like I was mistake. An employee thought that the Day and Week views should reflect these differences?

Clicking the "New Alert" button on a meeting or task brings up a narrow, hard to use, set of lists for names. It is also a very small window to add messages

The manual links to "notes" and "alerts" do not work as well as other links. Is there an older copy of the manual with complete links or other place we can learn more about Epesi? We are wondering how we should let others know that we've added them to a meeting or created a task for them. One employee would like to get an email or some kind of notification for any of these events.

In the "Month" view, a day with many events causes adjacent days double-click to create event to fail.

In the example, if you click in the bottom half of the window for any day within that week to create a new event nothing happens. It does work for the day with multiple events. If you click in the top half, it opens the window. If you click in the bottom half, nothing happens.

Thank you for your feedback, it's invaluable for us.

The frames are based on start and end time rounded to full hours. We have plans to greatly improve the calendar look and feel in nearby future, including more precise positioning for the events.

The New Alert form should be fixed, we'll try to include that fix in 1.3.1.

The manual is an ongoing work-in-progress and unfortunately we don't have any improved version ready to be released.
But to answer your question - most notifications can be seen on the Watchdog (Subscriptions) applet. If a user is assigned to Task/Meeting, he is automatically auto-subscribed to that record and in the Watchdog applet he can see the changes made to this record from this point. There's also option to enable e-mail notifications for subscriptions in Menu->My Settings->Control Panel, Watchdog and then enable "Send e-mail on new events". Please make sure your mail server configuration is working properly.

The month view bottom part issue is caused by a cross-browser incompatibilities. We had some problems sizing the frame and keep proper display of all events in all supported browsers and as a temporary solution we decided to use fixed height. With the rewrite of Calendar interface we'll be sure to have that issue fixed as well.
