Highlights:
Integration with Google Docs
Files attached to records can now be viewed, edited and saved by using Google Docs. This feature makes EPESI even more easy to use - you no longer need any software installed on your computer to deal with documents and spreadsheets. This option also improves possibilities of collaborative working in your company. At the moment EPESI allows using Google Docs for .doc and .csv files.
Multi company setup
We decided to abandon the schema with one main company that was implemented in EPESI, in order to make it more flexible and easier to adapt for different organizational structures. There no longer is one company marked as the main one for the whole system to which all employees should be assigned. Permissions and value ranges for users are now based on their main company and access level.
New system for translations
The way translations are made and distributed has been changed on all levels. We abandoned context translations and implemented system that is much more translator friendly. All phrases can now be translated from one place in EPESI interface and sent to us directly from translator's installation. We hope it will increase the completeness and number of language versions for EPESI, making it even more accessible worldwide.
Several improvements added in various areas
There were many small improvements added to EPESI in order to enhance its performance and enrich user experience. Main areas that were affected are Record Browser, e-mail handling, permission system and graphics.
