Currently the simple search works only on fields that are displayed in Browse mode (table view). All other fields in the recordset are ignored. If you want to search by Short Name as well you need to enable this field view in Table mode:
- Go to Administrator's Panel
- Open Record Browser control panel
- Switch Recordset to Companies
- Click on Manage Fields tab
- Click on Edit icon (left) and place a checkbox in Table view field and save changes.
We have a plan to introduce custom views in the future and you will be able to switch between views and define your own.
