How to change the test length for a field

I add a field in the Record Browser and after using it, I only find it that the length that i put (32) is not enough. How to I edit it where when i press edit that length part cannot be edit . Is there any method to change it without deleting the whole field as it is an important field .

Hi!

We are constantly working on new features, but unfortunately there is no such option from admin interface now.
If you have access to phpmyadmin you can change it there.
1. Select table named <recordset_name>_data_1, edit structure and change desired field varchar parameter to higher value.
2. Select table named <recordset_name>_fields and change param field of desired field to same integer value as in varchar parameter.
<recordset_name> is static name chosen by developer of module. It may be different from display name like "Companies" or "Contacts".
