How to add sort by column functionality in Generic Browser?

Hello.

Is there a way to add a sort by column functionality for modules that use Generic Browser.
Record browser has the sort by column when a column is clicked. Is is possible for Generic browser to have it too?

In fact GenericBrowser supports sorting by columns, but it has to be set which columns allow sorting, then sort order is returned to RecordBrowser, which handles sorting and prepares sorted data.

Thanks Adam.

I am now trying to add sorting to the user activity reports module but I am having trouble sorting the User, Type and Label column since the values that are displayed in these columns are calculated and not fetch directly from the DB using the query used.

Can you help me with this? Thanks.
