manage user -can´t see active user

Hello,

I am trying to delete a user- which I can´t see in my user list.
If I go to user management - login verification and I want to see all my users- I can see the user as followed:
user [2] -> Contact not set
what does it mean?
user [2] is able to login, but he can´t see e-mails anymore- after I tried to add a contact with the same e-mail-address. In the record browser under e-mails the user is is crosed out.

What can I do to delete the user, or that the user can see his e-mails again and see him in my user list?

Hi Julia,

You can not delete a user. Once a user is created you can rename the user or make him/her inactive.

You don't specify what version of EPESI you are using, but in version 1.4.x the management of users and contacts is integrated.
First - create a contact. Generally you create a contact that belongs to the same company.
Second - open Login Panel and create a user. You need to have a valid e-mail address for that contact because a random password will be generated and e-mailed to this user's e-mail address.
You can specify the password manually but still the e-mail will be generated with the login address and username and password.

If you see [Contact not set] it means that you created a user without an associated contact. Just edit the contact (or create a new one) and choose that login (user [2] means user with ID 2) and assign it as the login.

Instead of deleting a user you just deactivate her/him:

Deactivate user

green dot = user active (can login)
grey dot = user inactive (can not login)

Hi Jasiek,

user management is possible in my version.
I created a new contact - which I want now to assign it to user [2]. Where can I assign the existing user to the contact? Maybe you can send a image.

Hi Julia,

If you delete contact for specific user it should be recreated when you hit user management panel. So you have contact assigned to user and you cann't change this assignment. You should just fill in contact information. If you really want to join some contact with user, then you have to manage this in database. It's not recommended however sometimes may be required (when contact has a log of assigned data).
