Move to new EPESI install?

Hello all,
I have recently started using EPESI and I am impressed. Unfortunately, the web host that I have been using is incredibly slow (GoDaddy). I have recently installed EPESI on a much faster host and was hoping to move everything over. I was able to export everything but I only see a way to import contacts and companies.

I would like to migrate everything else (particularly projects, tickets, meetings, notes). Is there a way to do this? Can I do a select MYSQL export and import it?

It is very simple. Just clone your installation:
Make a dump of your database.
Copy entire epesi folder especially /data directory. If EPESI version is the same on the old server as on the new one - no additional modules or modifications were made - you could copy just data directory.
When you restore the database on the new server and setup a different database/username/password then config.php located in /data directory will have to be updated.
I would suggest going to your http://your.epesi.address/admin directory and rebuild themes.

Thank you for the reply. I, without thinking first, made changes to the modules. I will peek through the data and manually reenter what I need. Thank you for the help though.

Very interested to know how you determined that it was your web host that was slow. I am getting lots of problems from users who like the system but are frustrated at load times

In my personal experience, any webhosting company like godaddy, bluehost or 1and1 just dont allocate the resources enough to properly host an application like this. See if you can get a premium service, or move to a smaller hosting company that will allocate you more resources.

We moves to VPS and the response was immediate and good. Costs a bit but certainly worth a try if you are having speed issues
