Hi Everyone,
a admin may add a field which will be a text data then a week or two I find out that the text they are entering in that field are text which could've been commondata.
so what my admin have to do currently is rename the field, disable it, create a new select field, and enter the commondata.
Now a week or two already past so we may have 5-50 companies modified on the text field he disabled so he has to re-key it all on the new field.. then yell at me since I know more than him with your CRM.
Now if I have done something like that, I would go to the DB, change the field properties, add the keys, done.
the unfortunate part is that my Admins (when I say admins, I mean CRM admins) are people that are higher up in the company, but have (or show) very little knowledge on how to operate a computer....properly :P
What I am trying to say is that I would like to see some sort of converter where can convert some fields to certain datatypes so there is very little or no need to go to the DB backend to make changes.
