How to create a new theme.

Hello there,

I have recently started development in EPESI. I read the information about this in the WIKI, but I don't know how I can create a new theme for a personalization of EPESI (colours, template, style, etc). Could you give me some information about this?

I have a little idea about creation, I must to copy the directory /epesi/data/Base_Theme/template/default and modify the files in the subdirectories, am I right??. But this change will lose in future updates, exist some way for automate this process, for example modify the directory theme that contain in the modules directories.

Hi,

to create custom template follow these steps:
1. create a new empty direcory in data/Base_Theme/templates - it will be the name of your template.
2. make in this directory only those template files that you want to change. All the rest will be taken from the default template.
3. Change template in the EPESI administrator panel.

All default theme files supplied with the module are located in the modules/module_directory/theme. They are copied into data/Base_Theme/templates/default during installation or theme updating procedure. You shouldn't edit those files as they will be overwritten upon EPESI update.

During development of your custom theme remember to clean cache of the browser to see the changes made.
