How to set up an old installation at a new location

Hi there ;-)

I want to go away from our test-system and setup epesi on our productive system.

I want to use the database from my test-system.

I made a 1:1 copy and it seems to work fine...but... i can not go to any of the links in the normal menu.
The old company or single tasks are no problem.

The loading screen shows up and disapears without error message. There is no error in my php log.
Is this a common problem/issue

Did i forget something?

My setup is:
iis / php 5.3.24
mysql 5
fastcgi
windows sbs2008

Hi,

Moving to another server is easy - just copy the entire EPESI directory (especially /data directory) and the database.
See this post for more details: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=1320&p=4499#p4499

If you have access to the test installation just copy everything to the new server. Admin tools don't need to be downloaded - they are included.

Hi,

i made a 1:1 copy but its still not working well. I can only access the dashboard and companys or tasks listed on the dashboard.

i cant see any error. so i dont know how i can find this "error" 😛

i tried it with the original database (with external connection) and the copied (loalhost). i think its a Server config or data related issue... but how can i find this ?

Hi,

ok... i found a solution.

In IIS are different methods for authentication.
I used anonymous and it doesent work or it works like my older description.

i changed it to windows authentication and voila 🙂 it works.

So i think it depends on file access rights.
