Session Timeout and Locking

Hello,

We have noticed that our Epesi sessions lock out pretty fast, and right in the middle of us doing something.

I found the following code in the config file -
define('FILE_SESSION_DIR','/tmp');

We are using shared hosting. Could this be the issue ?

There are 3 ways to store sessions on the server in EPESI: file, database and memcache. The fastest way is via memcache (in memory), then the database and the last one is via file. How is your server configured?

We just did the default installation. What does Epesi use by default ?
Also, is the locking related to a specific method that we use ?
