Are you talking about QuickSearch module that is not present in the release package, but it's available in the source code on github?
That's not accidental, because QuickSearch is a module developed by the former team member, and it wasn't finished and tested. We're now a little out of time to take care about it, but we'll try to test and polish it. I've never used that module.
