Error adding a custom field

Hey guys,

I try to add custom field to tasks, that will let me look for short name field in companies recordset.

there's an error i recieve..

** by the way am recieving another error with similar title when trying to add a page split..
will be glad to a little help of yours

However I can't reproduce your issue with page split. Could you please give me an error report?

I see little of knowledge about diff 🙂
that minus sign means that this line has been deleted, and plus means that this has been added.
It should look like this:

Well... it's strange that you're the first person who has the issue, that everyone with a new installation should have. I don't have it due to upgrade.
So here is another change that I would be glad if you could apply by hand and test again. Sorry for the inconvenience, but it's your contribution in the open software 🙂

Modify just the first file - patch is not required for you. So add four lines and replace one. Do not put plus and minus signs 🙂

You are the one who are helping me, so ill be adding as much code as you'll ask for 🙂

This time done it correctly with a metter of pluses and minuses 🙂

Able to add a page split without any problems - anything else looks fine. I will experiment with it a bit more, to double check and let you know if i experience another issues.

Just another question.. if i added a custom field and want to delete it, there is no such an option in UI. how can it be done?

One more point i realised now..

When i do add a page split and then placing some fields under them in record manager\field manager it has no groin at all on how recordsets are printed..

Thanks for testing out those changes!

To your first question: You can delete fields permanently only with code. You can do it in EPESI shell in /admin panel. No need to create any code in files.
From GUI you can only disable fields that are set as "extra" - it means that they are not obligatory - required by any other part of the system. Of course every field added with GUI is extra by default.

About printing - You mean that it doesn't create any split on the printout? It's recently added feature (any record printouts) and we didn't spend much time to enhance it right now.
