Search by Phone Number

Hi All
How do I make the phone field searchable?

To search with RB search (near filters button) field has to be visible. Admin -> Rb -> select desired recordset -> manage fields -> edit field to make it visible.
To search with quicksearch (near logout button) Recordset has to be indexed. Admin -> RB -> select desired recordset -> Settings -> Search: Include optional / by default

I clicked on edit and saved it but nothing.

I'm not sure what you mean by that, please look at the attachement.

and by RB you mean Record Browser correct?

Yes - RB means Record Browser.
Enable Table View - YES for Work Phone, if you want to search by mobile number then enable this field in table view as well.

Your screenshot shows that both fields are enabled and search by both work and mobile phone should work.

it works now, but for some reason it puts + in front of a number
if we enter number 416 822 2222 on view all clients it has + in front of it, and if you search with the plus sign it doesn't bring up the record and if you remove the + and do search without the + it will bring up the record.
Why does it add the + in front of the number? Even editing it doesn't have the + sign

It's international phone prefix for the selected country. If your number won't include + (plus sign) at the beginning, then it will be added. But it's added during display only.

Is it wrong for your needs? Is it wrong prefix?

Maybe we should change this somehow. Maybe to add this prefix during record add/edit.
