Custom RecordSet : User creation auto field?

Hello community,

Im amazed with EPESI and its potential and first of all I want to say thank you to developers, supporters and the whole community for making this platform.

Im trying to create a basic new Custom RecordSet with some fields about Orders. One of this fields I would like to be an automatic the current login name, so the user logged who is filling the form would be set in that field as the creator of that form.
I guess it'd be using Value display function or Field generator function.
Can you recommend me a way to accomplish this?

Every record has an information about it's author. Just hover little "i" icon and you'll see who and when created this one.
If you wish to show this in a separate column then use calculated field with custom display callback like this one:



public static function display_contact($r, $nolink, $desc) {

  $user_id = $r[':created_by'];

  return Base_UserCommon::get_user_label($user_id);

}
