Error Update 1.6.3 to 1.6.5

Hello,

I was about to start an update from 1.6.3 to 1.6.5. Unfortunately there is an error message.
I have uploaded all the files and called the domain.
The error message reads:

Fatal error: Class 'Acl' not found in /var/www/XXXXXXX/html/epesi/modules/Base/Lang/LangCommon_0.php on line 402

Does anyone have a solution?

Well, strange, we haven't such issue.
Open mentioned file at 402 line (modules/Base/Lang/LangCommon_0.php)
and change

			if (!Acl::is_user() ||

			if (!Base_AclCommon::is_user() ||

and open update again.
Give us your feedback.

Unfortunately, there is now a new error.

The version 1.6.3 ran without problems. Unfortunately, I had to get back then but also trouble the update installed.

This is all of the error report? I need previous lines. All of them. I see what is your issue. Try to delete file data/cache/common_cache.php and run update again. If you'll get an error then post all text.

There is no other error message.

I have deleted the cache file and then got shown the login.

Does your data/cache/common_cache.php gets recreated?
You should have something like this:

Unfortunately, I could not answer yesterday.

After I deleted the file common_cache.php, this is recreated.
I call on the domain and will be prompted to update. Then comes the error described above.

Now I have under epesidomain / admin
the point 5 Patches executed. After that I could start Epesi almost normal. Now the following is displayed.

Next I come. I do not know what to do now, so that it runs normally again.
I shy away from total to install a new update, because it is so far almost always come to such problems.

But your help is really great. I am sure that it is this sometimes give a solution.

You've got some unsupported system configuration, that causes error.
Background: EPESI detects any additional code in common file besides common class. Then all files with additional code are loaded at the startup. All others are loaded by autoloader if required.

In your case detection fails and files are not loaded as they should.

To fix this issue you can do following.
1. Edit file include/module_manager.php, line 845. Add return true; to force loading all common files. It should look like this:



	public static final function common_has_code($module_name, $version)

	{

        return true;

		$class_name = $module_name . 'Common';

		$file = 'modules/' . self::get_module_dir_path($module_name) . '/' . self::get_module_file_name($module_name) . 'Common_' . $version . '.php';

...

2. Remove cache file data/cache/common_cache.php.
3. Restart update.

Is there any option to get access to your installation or any other instance without data, just to debug this issue?

Hello,

I have now tested a lot. Unfortunately, nothing has worked.

Then I just deleted my database. Have all the files from the server. The current version Epesi I uploaded and launched.
But even this could not be executed.

I had forgotten to set the PHP version.

Now I have this stored via .htaccess.

Yes , I have done everything as described . All to no avail . The error message remained the same . That's why I have a new subdomain set up and created a new blank database . All uploaded files from 1.6.5 and run the setup . The newly described errors occur .

Should there be a new installation does not work without problems ?
I do not know how to continue. This time seems nothing to help .

New installation won't help. It's not the issue with certain installation. It's module loading problem.

I've made some mistake in the code. Please open include/module_manager.php and change line 845 to

   public static final function common_has_code($module_name, $version)

   {

        self::include_common($module_name, $version);

      $file = 'modules/' . self::get_module_dir_path($module_name) . '/' . self::get_module_file_name($module_name) . 'Common_' . $version . '.php';

I've forgot that when you'll place a return, then class won't be loaded for the first time.
So full instruction.
1. Restore your 1.6.3 installation. Make sure it's fully running and you restore to the clean database.
2. Extract new EPESI manually.
3. Modify module_manager file as described.
4. Make sure you don't have data/cache/common_cache.php file.
5. Run update.

That's a fix. I hope it will work, but I would like to know the reason also...
