Extend standard contacts view with readonly field

Hi,

Is it possible to extend the standard contacts view with a readonly field from a join select with company?

The standard contacts view consists of the company-name if a company is selected. It would be nice to see more fields from the selected company in the contract view.
I have added a 'company-type' field in company, which I would like see (read only as a joined field) in my contacts view. So that I can see directly for that contact for which company-type he or she is working.

In the developers manual I have read that you can built your own record_browser module. I wonder if there is a simpler way?

Yes - there is.

You can just add more fields in field definition. Open Admin -> RecordBrowser -> pick "Contact" recordset at the top -> edit "Company" field
Change "Related field"
from "Company Name" to "Company Name,Address" or whatever field you need.
If you wish to add other field to group all data you need, then create calculated field, define display callback, create some class file and generate output whatever you like.
