Default selections for multiple select & def-value textfield

Hi Guys,

I need to predefine default selections in an existing multiple select field, meaning, that whenever a user creates a new entry, this multiple select field should already have some defined values preselected.

The same I need for a normal text-field. How can I there define a default value, with which the field is already prefilled when creating a new entry.

For now it has to be hard coded. There is no GUI to set defaults for a particular recordset.

As a workaround:
1. Create a record with defaults values already set (manually selected)
2. When creating additional records instead of New record use Clone feature and before saving modify necessary fields.

Another option is to use processing callbacks with $mode='adding' - you can assign default values for any existing recordset without modifications to the code, that will get overwritten with the update.
