Mail Integration Roundcube

We are evaluating epesi and it looks good so far, except for ONE point: The mail integration of Roundcube seems to work VERY badly. We get the overview of our IMAP accounts, but clicking on a single line in order to view the details of a mail results in a never ending loading process!
We really need some advice on how we can avoid this problem and work well with Roundcube. We have been using Roundcube before and it works very well, so the problem must be related to the way you have integrated it into epesi.
Your helpful hint, how we can successfully load a single message and continue working with Roundcube will be very much appreciated!

There is some limitation on using roundcube - if you'll open one account within the browser, then the second account in different tab/windows, the first one will be unusable. It's caused by session - we store in EPESI session that certain account is loaded. Loading next will prune previous.

But I don't know why you've got never ending loop while loading message. You can double click on the message - it will open this message in fullscreen mode. You can also open message with Right Click -> Open in new tab. Then you'll get plain roundcube in the browser and you should be able to use email account in the previous tab (but only the same account).

Thanks for the fast Answer, but the mails are not opening. Roundcube is loading the mails from the server, I can see all mails, but if I click on one there will be a white screen.

I just restarted my computer and opened only one session. Still same problem.

At your demo account, I used the same mail settings and it worked fine.

Do you have maybe a other solution?

Hello,
i found out, if i deactivate in the settings "show HTML", I'm able to open every mail.

But we need the Html function, do you know why html is not working?

So you're saying that our demo works fine and your installation do not? So probably you've got the answer that something is wrong with your server configuration. You can check roundcube logs in data/CRM_Roundcube/logs to see if there are some issues reported.

AlexK is your installation the same as @cheyner 's?

Thanks ajb for this really perfect support! We checked the log file and found the following:

the error log shows that a php class is missing:
[13-Dec-2016 16:46:59 UTC] PHP Fatal error: Class 'DOMDocument' not found in /var/www/vhosts/epesi.1bank4all.net/htdocs/modules/CRM/Roundcube/RC/program/lib/Roundcube/rcube_washtml.php on line 491

After installing the php module and a restart of the server everything works perfectly!

With this fix we will continue our testing and we are confident, that we will start using epesi as it does fit our requirements perfectly! Thanks again for this fast and competent support! We will buy some modules and are looking forward to working with you in the future!

Hi ajb,
We still do see some small issues with Roundcube every now and then, but I guess it has tu do with the sessions you mentioned earlier on.
Now I have another question for you as the standard Roundcube which comes with epesi does not offer all the features we definitely need. After a long phase of evaluation we have come across the open source groupware BlueMind. BlueMind is probably the most powerful open source groupware, which does offer things like a very powerful addressbook with distribution lists and a really nice calendar function. Also the handling of different accounts is - from my point of view - much better handled in BlueMind. This is probably due to the fact, that BlueMind is not only a mail client but a full featured groupware.
Now I have the following question for you: Can you give us an estimation, how much it would cost in terms of EUR to integrate BlueMind into epesi instead of Roundcube? - Thanks for giving us an estimation asap.

I don't know BlueMind yet, but please describe what is the exact integration features you need. e.g.

In BlueMind I'd like to search for contacts from EPESI
In EPESI I'd like to ...

Please fill such list with all features you need.

BlueMind is not an open source software. If any bridge between Epesi and BlueMind would be made it would have to be financed by BlueMind users. We have no BlueMind users as Epesi Core and CRM consist only of free and open source libraries and packages.

Calendar, distribution lists, addressbook, e-mail - looks like a lot of duplicated functionality.
However if you want to exchange easily data between two systems because one offers some features that are better than the other and vice versa - then please specify how would you like to integrate them.
